Most American’s Need Credit Help

The way the economy is today it’s hard for people to stay on top of their bills let alone start paying off credit cards. It seems it all started with the mortgage markets and has escalated to all other markets now. People are having a difficult time paying their debts. Some people get help with creditors when they can but for the millions of people that choose sub-prime mortgages their payments are too high and their income cannot cover their bills.

This is the time when those people need to start thinking about the future. If they can no longer pay the bills they need to seek legal help one that can tell them about chapter bankruptcy and other forms of help. With bankruptcy many times people can wipe away most of their debt and start over. This will hurt their credit score for a while but is the right thing to do. Once you get in over your head with bills there is not too much you can really do about it.

While bankruptcy cases are always usually filed in a Bankruptcy Court, bankruptcy cases, particularly with respect to the validity of claims and exemptions, are often highly dependent upon State law. Sometimes creditors may choose to seek some of the financial to get back some of their money. In cases where the person filling bankruptcy has assets the creditor will go after the assets to help pay for the bad debts.

Hosting for Gamers

Your not a real gamer unless you use ventrilo hosting. Most users of Ventrilo use a headset and use the program to speak to others similar to a conference call. I had no knowledge of how to run a Vent server but knew we needed one for my guild as do anyone that has a guild. Finding a good ventrilo hosting company can be tricky. There are so many out there to choose from including free all the way through to paid. Most free services are total crap and if you want your guild to be happy you need to go with a paid hosting. You can get really good paid hosting for under $20.00 per month. For about $25.00 per month you can have a Ventrilo 100 Man Server.

TeamSpeak is similar to ventrilo hosting but is Voice over IP software that allows users to speak on a chat channel with other users. Teamspeak 2 servers are great servers for getting your chat together. TeamSpeak works great for playing Call of Duty 4 and people that use Teamspeak love it. Some use a program called TeamSpeak Overlay which showed who was talking on the game screen. It works great for CoD 1 and 2 and similar games. Some people have issues with TeamSpeak Overlay as the development and support has stopped while others have no issues.

No matter what you use for you gaming experience ensure you go with a reliable company that can handle your needs. A good way to check is to Google their name and see what other have said about them. With most companies you’ll find good and bad and you need to sift through the reviews.

Summer Vacation

This summer we are finally getting a vacation that we have wanted to go on for a while now. Disney World Orlando has been on the top of our to do list for a while now. In Florida there is so much we want to see Disney World, Epcot, Cape Canaveral, Disney Animal Park and of course the beautiful beaches.

Coco Beach is within an hour of Orlando and is a nice little beach to visit and play in the water. The beaches in Florida seem to be flatter once you walk into the water as opposed to the beaches in California which seems to really drop off. This makes for better surfing and body boarding and I know my family will have fun.

So much goes into Disney World Trip Planning because there is so much to do. You don’t want to play things by ear because you might miss something really cool. Also people believe the Florida resort is in Orlando. The entire property is outside Orlando’s city limits; the majority sits within southwestern Orange County with the remainder in adjacent Osceola County to the south. There are a few attractions we will skip like the Disney water park. There are water parks every where so why waste our time with that. My daughter has never been and she’s so excited, for her it will be the coolest trip ever. You know when your 8 years old nothing is more fun than going to a Disney Park.

Don’t Get Caught Without Insurance

As a small business owner one of my main concerns is health insurance. I have always provided health insurance for my family through my company but many of my peers find it hard to pay the amount. I have a friend on the east coast that will not get insurance for he and his wife. I would consider him a smart business person but not having health insurance is a bad idea. If something where to happen and he needed a surgery he could end up getting himself in a bad financial situation. Even if he just gets individual health insurance this could save him a big headache in the future.

There are other types of insurance like accident insurance that would also work. The premium on these plans are not that expensive. The insurance rate or premium is a factor used to determine the amount, called the premium, to be charged for a certain amount of insurance coverage. Any risk that can be quantified can potentially be insured. In the United States, standard line insurance companies are your “main stream” insurers. These are the companies that typically insure your auto, home or business. It is best to shop around and get a few prices before making a major decision like buying insurance. The Internet is one of the best ways to shop around for the best price possible. I’ve used both insurance brokers and the Internet and usually find better prices online.

It’s All Online!

I hate going to the “big box” retail stores and do about 75% online shopping now.   An online shop, eshop, e-store, Internet shop, webshop, online store, or virtual store evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a bricks-and-mortar retailer or in a shopping mall. It saves me time and not too mention gas money.  With gas prices at $4.00 per gallon shopping on the Internet is get more cost effective.  We live in a nice little gated community but it’s about 14 miles away from most of the restaurants and major stores.  So paying a shipping fee of $7.00 to $12.00 per shipment isn’t a big deal since it would cost me about $8.00 to go and get the items for myself.
This summer we are taking a trip and wanted to drive but with gas prices the way they are it’s better to find some cheap airfares online and fly.  The online world makes finding the best rates so much easier and I can spend more time on vacation if I fly Vs driving.  Driving will eat up a day or two of travel and that’s time I could be spending relaxing.
I see a major trend happening as gas prices continue to climb people tend to shop more online.  This is great news for the dot com business.  Plus as the world economy drags down people are looking for bargains and the best place to do so is online.  With in minutes you can search numerous websites and find the best prices on airfares, cars, books, music, watches, apparel or whatever you are looking for.

Business Directories Better Than Google Search

Finding business online sometimes can be tough. Google gives way too much authority to large domains that it is often really hard to find a local business. Here is a trick I learned a while back, find a business directory and search it.
Many times business directories cater to small business, the type of business that never seem to come up in Google but have the services and products you want. Without these specific directories it would be hard finding many of the convenience stores, bakeries, hairdressers, tradesmen, solicitors, lawyers, accountants, restaurants, guest houses, photographers and manufacturing companies.
Our country and many others thrive off of the small business. There are many ways to classify small companies, such us annual sales, number of employees, assets value or net profit, alone or in a mixed definition. There is an estimated 25 million small business in the USA alone. This makes it even harder to find or search for them on the Internet.

Common marketing techniques for small business include networking, advertising in business directories, word of mouth, customer referrals, yellow pages directories, television, radio, outdoor (roadside billboards), print and Internet. Electronic media like TV can be quite expensive and is normally intended to create awareness of a product or service.

A great example of this is when I tried to find Breaststroke fins for my 8 year old daughter. I tried searching Google for swim companies but all I found where videos on the breaststroke and not the fins I was looking for. I then found a business directory searched it’s database and low and behold I found exactly what I was looking for. Without business directories I’m not sure how the “mom and pop” business would even survive.
A business directory is a type of web directory and list websites across a wide range of categories, regions and languages. But there are also a large number of niche directories, which focus on restricted regions, single languages, or specialist sectors. Most business directories are Human-edited and almost never have any SPAM in them. This is another plus that Google search has a hard time competing with.

Small Business Tip - Credit Cards

If you are a small business owner and don’t have a company credit card, get one.  It makes things so much easier on you and your accountant.  When I travel I use my corporate credit card for just about everything including hotels, food and airfare.

There is nothing worse than going through your personal credit card statements every year trying to figure out which transaction was business and which was not.  There are many good business cards out there and most have super good rates like 0% Interest at least for the first 12 months.

Real Estate On The Net

Most people start their search for a new home on the Internet. It’s so much easier to look through MLS listings instead of going to an agents office and wasting time with him or her. Online you can browse through hundreds of homes for sale within minutes and you cannot come close to that in one day driving around.

Even in this bad market some markets are doing well. San Diego, Beverly Hills and Palm Springs Real Estate markets seem to do well. This may have something to do with the fact that buyers in these markets are more well to do and aren’t in the sub-prime mess as other markets. A great place to search are the online MLS for these areas this will give you a since of market price and what’s available.

Good Hosting Company

I came across a a good hosting company today called McKremie Web Hosting. It looks like they have been in business for a while now and have a 24 hour 800 number you can call if you need assistance with your web hosting. This is probably the number one thing I look for when choosing a hosting company because you never know what time of the day you may need to get a hold of your host.

A few years ago I had hosting with DreamHost and they sucked! My website went down and I could not find a phone number to call, this made me so mad. I will never sign up with a hosting company again unless they have 24 hour 800 number.
